This was a cake for Kallie's friend Lynsie as she turned 18. At first I thought the pink was a little too bright for me (believe it or not, I actually don't like pink--and this blogspot has a pink background!), but as I look at this cake, I like it. This was my first time creating a zebra pattern and covering the board (it was a huge piece of glass that is a lazy susan turntable) in fondant. It was a fun cake to make. My favorite flower is gerbera daisy, so it was fun making these out of gum paste. The "L" and "18" were fondant cut outs with black sanding sugar on top.
