We celebrated Emily's 18th birthday with a purple paisley and polka dot cake. I covered the base with a leaf green colored fondant with inset pieces. Since it was three stacks high, I had to make three different flavors of cakes and fillings. The top was orange cake with lavender and orange lavender buttercream filling. The second one was a chocolate cake with butterfinger buttercream filling. The bottom layer was a white cake with two fillings: chocolate pan frosting with butterfinger buttercream. Yum! Due to a rainy day, the layers were sliding around. Too much humidity in the air.
